Young-based trainer Vicki Prest looks set to continue her terrific run of form at Goulburn’s greyhound meeting this Tuesday afternoon with In The Bag.
Prest has a win strike rate of 25 per cent this year, meaning a quarter of her starters in 2017 have won their respective races, and the trainer will hope In The Bag can maintain her consistency.
In The Bag will jump from box eight in race five – a heat of the Madbookie 1-3 win series (350m) – at Goulburn on Tuesday, having won two of her last three starts.
Both those wins came over the 440m at Canberra and In The Bag should have no issue with the shorter distance in Tuesday’s event, looking one of the more solid bets on the card.
In other action at Goulburn on Tuesday, In Like Flint has strong claims in another heat of the Madbookie 1-3 win series (race six, 350m).
The Leonie Brown-trained greyhound recently relocated from Victoria and should take enormous benefit from his first start at Goulburn last Tuesday in which he finished a close second.
Browza Bob has been in consistent form without winning of late, but should be able to break through in the fourth and final heat of the Madbookie 1-3 win series (race eight, 350m).
The 50-start veteran has not had a start at Goulburn before, but has been racing well in the Central West region and looks a nice value chance.
In race 10 – the Goulburn Workers Stakes – Blackwood Farm should benefit from his first start in a Masters event – which is restricted to older greyhounds – by clocking up a win.
