Wingello owner-trainer John Mellon looks to have a strong double chance of success at Tuesday’s Goulburn meeting.
Mellon rugs up litter sister Mellcat Miss and Mellcat Miss in the first and second heats of the Palmerbet 1-3 Wins Series (440m) with both capable of saluting again.
Mellcat Lass jumps from box two in the first heat (race five) looking for a third win in her first five starts.
The daughter of Cosmic Rumble and Miss Tandur scored a decent 20.20 victory from box eight over the 350m at Goulburn last month and has been freshened up for this series.
Sibling Mellcat Miss (box six) scored her maiden victory in dazzling fashion with an impressive best of the day 19.95 run over the 350m on January 31 and can repeat that feat in heat two (race six).
This is her first look at the 440m but this is a winnable race and she looks the best of this field.
Smart Donatello (box one) is much better than his last start sixth place at Nowra and can score a win in the third heat (race seven).
The Troy Donaldson-trained greyhound has won two of his three previous starts from box one, including a decent triumph over the 450m at Maitland last month, and can win this.
Miss Crazy produced a storming run on her first competitive look at Goulburn and looks a strong winning chance in heat four (race eight).
The Fred Malone-rained speedster (box six) was a terrific winner over the 440m last week and can repeat that feat in the fourth heat of over that distance.
Miss Crazy clocked a sparkling 25.40 saluting last week from box eight, has also trialled well at the track and looks a promising newcomer.
In other Goulburn Tuesday action, Can’t Be Easy (box one) looks the day’s best bet in the Greyhound Recorder Maiden (race two, 440m).
The Mark Wicks-trained greyhound has improved with placings at Bathurst and Dubbo on his last two starts and can take advantage from box one.
Eleven races are on the card at Goulburn and action starts at 12.15pm.
